Description
A Bickham's little yellow bat is seen handled by an expert biologist specialized in bats, during a Bat Survey in the mountain forests of Finca El Pilar, in the outskirts of Antigua Guatemala. Bickham's little yellow bat (Rhogeessa bickhami) is a species of vesper bat found in Central America. It was described as a new species in 2012. It is considered "medium sized" for its genus, and it is a diploid organism with two sets of each chromosome. It has a total of 30 teeth. It is insectivorous, catching and consuming insects while flying. It is found in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Nicaragua.
