View of the Wide Bay from Big Woody Island #349412355
Description
Crystal clear water with the most spectacular underwater mosaic of red, purple, brown and yellow sea stones. Big Woody Island is an uninhabited island only 4 kilometres (about 2.5 miles) from Urangan, a suburb of Hervey Bay on Queensland's Fraser Coast in Australia. If you look at the horizon, you can barely see Urangan's marina on the left and you can also see the Urangan Pier in the middle of the horizon. As its name suggests, Big Woody is full of trees. This island is surrounded by a very rocky coastline with only a small handful of sandy beaches, like this one. The waters are home to many fish, crabs and sharks.
