Half Dome, Mount Broderick & Liberty Cap (rear to front). Half Dome is a granite dome - possibly Yosemites most familiar rock formation. The granite crest rises more than 4,737 ft above the Yosemite Valley floor at Tenaya Canyon and 2,686 ft above the floor of Little Yosemite Valley. Mount Broderick is a smaller, mesa-like dome that stands immediately adjacent to Liberty Cap. Liberty Cap is a granite dome that rises 1,700 ft from the base of Nevada Fall to a peak elevation of 7,076 ft.
