Description
Indian catmint (Anisomeles indica), also known as catmint and Malabar catmint, is an upright, camphor-scented, herbaceous perennial shrub. Leaves are green and covered with coarse hairs above, especially along veins. Leaf margins are unevenly round-toothed. Stem is four-sided with squarish cross-sections, densely covered by white hairs. Clustered pinkish-purple flowers are densely covered with soft hairs and are almost without stalk, with prominent lower lip. Flowers not long-lasting but buds open progressively.
