Description
Cymbidium sinense (Jack. ex Andr.) Willd. is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Orchidaceae genus. Its root is a ground meat root, enlarged and robust, pale yellow or milky white. Its stem is pseudobulbous or pseudobulbous, ovoid in shape, and enclosed within the leaf base. The leaves are clustered in a band shape, with a thick layer of keratin and wax on top. Its flowers are in a raceme inflorescence, with upright and thick stems that usually protrude above the leaf surface. The colors are varied, usually dark purple or purple brown, but also yellow green, peach red and other colors. The capsule is narrow elliptical in shape, white to milky yellow in color, and the seeds are slender and powdery. The flowering period is from October to March of the following year.
