The Liberty Hill Historic District is a ten block section of San Francisco in the Dolores Heights neighborhood, that is on the cities Historic Landmark list, and includes the two block long Liberty Street Historic District that is part of the California Historic Landmark, which still misses some of the pre 1906 Earthquake and fire that destroyed much of the rest of the city. Although one of the oldest parts of the city, due to its proximity to The Mission Church, at the time it was considered as one of the original suburbs of the city. As the name implies, there is a hill, on the upper reaches of Liberty Street, which offers some spectacular views, as well as very steep roads for cars, streets for pedestrians, and some very long flights of steps for residents. Most of the homes in the area are from the 1860's to the 1890's, which include Stick, Italianate, and Queen Anne.
