Entrance porch of Notre Dame de Paris. Portal of the Last Judgement #36043968
Description
It is located on the eastern half of the Île de la Cité in the fourth arrondissement of Paris. Its western facade dominates the square of Notre-Dame - Place Jean-Paul II. The construction is being extended over many decades (two centuries), the style is therefore not a complete uniformity: and it has characters of early Gothic (sexpartite vaults of the nave) and the High Gothic. The two roses that adorn each arm of the transept are among the largest in Europe, and each measure 13 meters in diameter. It was upon its completion one of the largest cathedrals
