[ 4 ] Due to aviation safety regulations , the tower is painted in international orange with white in some places. The surrounding buildings are lower, so Tokyo Tower can be seen from many locations in the city center.Tokyo Tower is famous as a symbol of Tokyo and a tourist attraction rather than its function as an analog TV ( UHF VHF ) transmitter antenna tower, digital local TV, and FM radio . In addition, the East Japan Railway company uses this tower to place the radio antenna for the train emergency system, and a number of measuring instruments are installed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Environment Office.
