Squacco Heron Ardeola ralloides. It is a bird species belonging to the heron (Ardeidae) family. It has a stocky appearance and is the smallest species of heron birds. It lives in lowland valleys, wet valleys, deltas, wetlands, freshwater channels, pools and lakes, and ditches surrounded by plants. It feeds on fish and especially water insects.
