Description
Netherlands, Zealand, Zeeland Province, island of Schouwen-Duiveland, city, small town Zierikzee. In the historical center, conservation area, is builded the Noordhavenpoort. This port is one of the three gates of the place. This gate stands at the entrance of the old city, old harbor, next to the Zuidhaven Gate. This gate tower was builded in the Middle Ages, fourteenth century. Later the gate is wide, decorated and remodeled. The present form dates from the early sixteenth century. It is a brick gatehouse. In the street two elderly women walking with shopping bags from the supermarket Albert Heyn. They bought food during their summer vacation.
