Germany, state of North Rhine-Westphalia, town of Xanten: Kriemhildmühle or Kriemhild mill, is a mill built at the beginning of the nineteenth century. This windmill forms a part of the historic city wall. It is a brick smock mill. This former oil mill is now a flour mill, which is in use every day for grinding grain, corn. The name of the mill comes from Kriemhild of the Nibelungen saga. This windmill is a landmark, cultural heritage site, monument and tourist attraction, in which today a bakery is located. In front of the store is a terrace where people are sitting to eat food, bread en drink a coffee.
