Niassa Province Landscape_Northern Mozambique #39965325
Description
Much of Niassa Province in Northern Mozambique is dotted with huge granite hills and mountains called Inselbergs. Many of them are merely granite with little vegetation, while others have forest thickets and grass tussocks growing on them. They host an array of wildlife such as leopard, yellow baboons, rock hyrax, klipspringer (a nimble antelope) and a huge variety of bird life. The rock surface undergoes a natural color enhancement with the movement of the sun. In the early mornings and late afternoons they take on all sorts of pastel hues. A delight for landscape photographers.
