Description
The historical town of Leeuwarden is located in the north of Holland, in the province of Friesland. ââ¬ÅOver de Keldersââ¬Â is the street that has a lower part called ââ¬ÅBierkadeââ¬Â (Beerquay) a dock in the canal for unloading boats. This is where you can now sit on a terrace and enjoy the canal and its surrounding houses. At the background the tower of the St Bonifatiuskerk, a neo-Gothic church built by P. J. H. Cuypers in 1882-84. The spire, destroyed in a storm in 1976, was rebuilt in 1980.
