The cyclone AILA destroyed the river barrage and water flooded the villages beside rivers at Sundarban. all the drinking water sources of these areas were filled with saline water and they bound drink that polluted water because there was no drinking water available. Many people especially children suffers from water related diseases. After primary relief the administration setting up some deep tube well for safe drinking water. Now they collect their drinking water from these tube wells and hope to a better life.Many of these hand pumps are not functioning due ill maintenance.
