Yolande Carson competes at the 2014 NPC Universe Championships at the Marriott Glenpointe in Teaneck, New Jersey. The two-day contest, consisting of pre-judging and finals took place on July 4th and 5th, 2014. The winners and runners-up were awarded professional cards. The events are judged on figure size, definition, and symmetry and presentation. The competitions were in men’s bodybuilding and physique and women’s physique, fitness, figure, and bikini. In addition to Open categories, Masters groups were contested by the men in Over-50, Over-40, and Over-35 year-old classes while women’s were contested in Over-40 and Over-35 groups when applicable. Another differentiation occurred by height classes. Carson finished in 5th place of the Fitness Open Class A group.
