It looks towards Phang Nga Bay in the east and backs towards Andaman Sea in the west. It is believed to cost no less than 30 million Thai baht. The Giant Buddha (or Wat Yai, as many people call him) is towering clearly visible from half of Phuket Island over Kata Beach and Chalong Bay. Even though it is still not finished completely, it is fast becoming one of the most visited attractions of Phuket.
