Qianmen Street is a famous shopping street in Beijing, China. Qianmen, which means front gate in Chinese, sitting on the south side of Tiananmen Square, is one of the top destinations for tourists in the capital. Qianmen street was once an important commercial area, and it has been rebuilt over recent years with some of the old architectural styles preserved. With its traditional shop fronts, it looks like it did 100 years ago. There are a number of long-established Chinese shops together with many stores selling Western brands.
