This photo was taken from the top of Mount Ord: Theodore Roosevelt Lake (usually called Roosevelt Lake) is located about 80 miles (130 km) northeast of Phoenix in the Salt River Valley. Roosevelt Lake is a reservoir dammed up by Theodore Roosevelt Dam on the Salt River. The mountains on the right are part of the Four Peaks Wilderness. (The road bridge across the Salt River/Rio Salado is visible on the right side of the lake.)
