Geoffrey Holder appears with Eartha Kitt for a radio interview at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC, in January, 1978. They were discussing the play, ââ¬ÅTimbuktu,ââ¬Â which Holder directed and choreographed, and in which Ms. Kitt starred. Holder was a multi-talented Trinidadian-American actor, choreographer, director, dancer, painter, costume designer, singer, and voice-over artist. He became widely recognized for his lilting Caribbean accent doing televisions commercials for ââ¬Å7 UP,ââ¬Â soft drink, and BWIA Airlines. Holder appeared in a James Bond film and won a Tony Award for both direction and costume design for Broadwayââ¬â¢s ââ¬ÅThe Wiz.ââ¬Â Holder died in New York at 84 on October 5, 2014
