There is a lot of archeological evidence that the first settlements on the territory of Budva were in the V century BC. e .. According to legend, the city was founded by the Phoenician Cadmus, who was expelled from Greece and found refuge here for himself and his wife Harmony. Two other civilizations, Greek and Roman, also left countless traces here. After the fall of the Roman Empire and its division into two parts, the dividing line between the powers formed passed through Budva, which had a huge impact on the culture of this region.
