Description
This is a picture of the north entrance if the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois. The museum opened as the permanent home od exhibits and collections from the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition on May 2, 1921. The museum was designed by the Architectual firms of Chris Taylor & Company and Burnham Graham & Company. The museum was built in the Classical Revival Style. On September 5, 1975 the Field Museum was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This picture was taken on November 2, 2014.
