The graves in the Amir Temur Mausoleum, Samarkand, Uzbekistan. It is the mausoleum of the asian conqueror Tamerlane, aolso known as Timur. It is important in the history of Turkic-Persian Architecture as the precursor and model for later great Moghul architecture tomb in northern indian dynasty, including Humayun's tomb in Delhi and Taj Mahal in Agra, built by Timur's descendents.
