Burro Dune Buggy Editorial Photo

This is a 1971 Burro dune buggy built using a tube frame and salvaged suspension parts. Burro's were built beginning in the early 1960's by a surfer in Costa Mesa who wanted a better way of getting around on the sand. Later on, the off-roading community began using them in the desert, Glamis, and at Pismo Beach, California.
