Globba Bulbifera Stock Photo

This is a deciduous herbaceous bulbifera. One report says it can grow to four feet tall but my young plant reached only eighteen inches. Leaves are strikingly marked with silvery bands. The fairly typical globba flowers are yellow in a spike at the top of the stalk. I find few references to its cultivation and cold hardiness. Based on my experience, it may be best for middle zone 9a and south.
