This is a winter picture of the Fabyan Windmill located in Geneval, Illinois surrounded by snow. The mill was designed by German craftsmen Louis Blackhaus and Freidrick Brockmann and construction began in 1848. The Fabyan Windmill is considered the best example of an authentic Dutch windmill in the United States. In 1979 the windmill was added to the National Register of Historic Places and in 1980 was selected to be on a U.S. Postage stamp. This picture was taken on January 9, 2015.
