Description
Dalmatia is a historical and geographical region of the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea that extends from the Kvarner islands to the northwest, to the river Bojana, the current border between Montenegro and Albania, to the southeast. Geographically it is a thin strip of land corresponding to the maritime side of the Balkan Mountains bordering the Adriatic Sea. Currently Dalmatia is politically divided between Croatia, Montenegro and, for a short distance, at the port of Neum, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
