Description
Mycenae is an archaeological site in Greece, located about 12 km from nell'Argolide sea and 9 from the city of Argos. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Archaeological excavations were started by Heinrich Schliemann, who found himself thanks to the description of the Homeric poems the city that is thought to be Troy. In 1874 were discovered the tombs of some king of Mycenae, with the funeral. Further analysis determined that these jewelry date back to the sixteenth and XII BC The site vissibili the famous Lion Gate, the tomb of Agamemnon and the royal palace.
