Valeggio (Verona) is particularly important in the Middle Ages, place of transit and border between the Lords of the Scala family, Gonzaga and Visconti. Linked to the history of Borghetto, the group of houses and mills situated sull'alveo River, Valeggio is dominated by the remains of the Medieval Castle with unique Round Tower of the twelfth century. A valeggio there is also famous for its beautiful gardens, Villa Sigurtà. The photo was taken in the spring in the gardens where they were carpets of tulips in bloom.
