Description
Borghetto di Valeggio is a small group of settlements built in 1400 around a series of water mills for grinding wheat and rice husking, in a particularly happy along the river Mincio. The mills, operated until the mid-twentieth century, after decades of neglect have been restored and used for commercial activities. The installation of the small town preserves the typical features of the groups of water mills floating, a standard for centuries in lowland river.
