This is a Winter picture of the Kinzie Street Railroad Bridge over the Chicago River in Chicago, Illinois. The bridge is an example of a Single Leaf Bascule Bridge that opened on September 19, 1908 and served the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad. At the time of its' opening it was the longest and heaviest Bascule bridge in the world. The bridge was declared a Chicago Landmark on December 12, 2007. This picture was taken on February 17, 2015.
