Young Chacma Baboon on Kruger National Park road #50615247
Description
The Chacma Baboons, whose coarse body hair range in colur from light grey to dark grey-brown are widely spread in South Africa, occurring where there are rocky cliffs, tall trees to sleep in at night, with permanent water available. In Kruger Park some troops sometimes lie in large numbers on the only main tar road, scampering around, up and down the nearby branches to great amusement to the tourists in cars and buses, watched by the dominant male troop leader, showing his dominance to the younger males, females and youngsters of all ages. They are omnivorous and there is little that they don't eat. Strict rules and penalties are imposed on motorists who try to feed them.
