Black-crowned Night Heron Stock Photo

Unlike other herons, the black-crowned night Heron has a stocky build and a shorter neck. The top of the head and shoulder feathers are black with a bluish metallic sheen. Forehead, superciliary stripe, and the underparts of the body are white. The wings, rump and tail are grey.
