Description
Praying mantises are predatory insects and one of the most skillful hunters in the world of insects. Males tend to be much smaller than females, therefore, often feeding on small flies. But females are able to hunt on a rather large insects. However, this does not apply to many large tropical species of praying mantis, reaching a length of the palm. These predators feed on not only grasshoppers and butterflies, but also snakes, frogs and even small birds.
