The Comacchio valleys were born around the 10th century and contain brackish water. The territory is currently 13.000 acres and it's one of the wettest areas and marsh in Italy. We can find over 300 species of birds, including migratory. The valleys of Comacchio are known worldwide for eel fishing. On background you can see an old abandoned house used by fishermen at the beginning of this century
