¨The fall of the angels or the fire¨, by Stéphane Belzère, chapel St. Antoine. Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, Rodez, Aveyron (France). "The Fall of the Angels", is a typical silver stained technique. The interlacing forms create a continuous mass all the way along the window. These red silhouettes on a white ground, with their disjointed shapes, required yellow heightening that, in order to emphasise their overlapping, would speard in a continuous, homogenous manner. Rather than apply the silver stain with a brush in the traditional way, Stéphane Belzère had the idea of spraying it into the glass.
