A wintry view of Quebec City's famous Dufferin Terrace, looking toward the funicular and the Champlain Monument in honour of Samuel de Champlain, who founded the city in 1608. A cold but bright afternoon in late March. At centre, the green-and-white striped funicular building. At left, the Champlain Monument. Snow-covered pavement in the foreground and blue sky with streaks of white cloud in the background, as well as a glimpse of the land on the other side of the St Lawrence River.
