Bill C-51 (Anti-Terrorism Act) Protest In Vancouver Editorial Image

Citizens protest Bill C-51, known as the Anti-Terrorism Act. The controversial act has passed the Canadian House of Commons and is currently being reviewed by the Senate. A range of community and professional groups have expressed concern that the Act will grant Canada's intelligence agency (CSIS - the Canadian Security Intelligence Service) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police over-reaching new powers that may infringe upon citizen's rights and privacy. The Act has been brought forward by the Harper Government.
