The central fountain at the Piazza Navona in the Italian capital of Rome is the Fontana dei Quatro Fiumi or the Fountain of the Four Rivers, sculpted by the famous Baroque artist Bernini in 1651. It represents the Danube, the Nile, the Ganges and the Plata ââ¬â mayor rivers of the four continents that were known at the time.
