View of Jeju Mok Office, located in Jeju, South Korea. The Jeju Mok Office, the seat of the local governor during the Joseon dynasty (1392-1910), sits on a site that was probably used during the Tamna kingdom as a government office. In 1434 the existing office facilities burned down and were replaced the following year with buildings approximating those now found on the site. Modifications to the structures continued throughout the Joseon dynasty, but unfortunately, the offices were completely razed during the Japanese colonial era (1910-1945).
