Fishermen's Bastion - Budapest #56147
Description
The Fisherman's Bastion in Budapest, build by Schulek in 1902, is so named because this strech of Buda's defensive walls was traditionally guarded and maintained by the guild of fishermen. It consists of a meringue-pie arrangement of neo-Romanesque arcades, and towers topped with pinnacled turrets, made out of white stone. Personally the site of Fishermen's Bastion I've enjoy best in my short visit in Budapest.
