Description
The village has 2620 inhabitants and is known for his bridges, waterways and punters. It is called the Dutch Venice '. Giethoorn is elongated and consists of three neighborhoods that ever staggered apart. In the North is that the Noordeinde, the Middenbuurt and finally the South end. The village Canal is the central axis of giethoorn and ends in the South in the Zuideindiger Wide. The farms and houses are separated by ditches which ramps that connect the House plots.
