The Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady is the Renaissance cathedral of Baeza province of Jaen, Spain . It was the seat of the Bishop of Jaen from 1227 until the bishopric was moved to Jaén in 1249. It is located in the Plaza de Santa MarÃÂa , where among others the source of Santa Maria and the town hall Altas. It stands as historical tradition , on the site of the former main mosque or mosque of the city , consecrated in 1147 for Christian worship by order of King Alfonso VII under the invocation of San Isidoro .
