Description
The Protestant Church of Reconciliation in Dahau Concentration Camp, Germany. On the initiative of survivors and supported by the World Council of Churches, the German Protestant Church built the Church of Reconciliation. The architect Helmut Striffler consciously designed the building with church and discussion room as a counterpoint to the symmetrical, right-angled architecture of the former concentration camp. The place of worship was officially opened on April 30, 1967. The staff members of the Church of Reconciliation offer the visitors church services, assistance and other events.
