Jewish Memorial, Catholic Mortal Agony of Christ Chapel from Dachau Concentration Camp, Germany. The initiative for building the Catholic Mortal Agony of Christ Chapel was started by the former prisoner Johannes Neuhausler, later to become the suffragan bishop of Munich. The official opening of the memorial, designed by the architect Josef Wiedemann, took place on August 5, 1960, during the Eucharist World Congress. Behind the chapel a path leads through a former guard tower to the Carmelite convent, built in 1963/64.
