Chambord Castle - one of the castles of the Loire, an architectural masterpiece of the Renaissance. It was built on the orders of Francis I in the period between 1519 and 1547 years. Frontage length 156 m, width of 117 m, in the castle 426 rooms, 77 staircases, 282 fireplaces and 800 sculpted capitals decorated. The name of the architect is unknown. Allegedly involved in the drafting of Leonardo da Vinci, a former architect at the court of King Francis I, but died a few months before the start of construction, as well as Domenico da Cortona. Since 1981, Chambord Castle listed World Heritage by UNESCO under the number 933.
