Description
The museum of amber is located in the center of Kaliningrad on the bank of Lake Superior in a serf tower of the middle of the XIX century. The tower was constructed in 1853 under the leadership of the developer of the general plan of fortifications of Konigsberg chief of the engineering case Ernst Ludvig von Aster and logged in city defensive strengthenings. She bore a name of the Prussian general field marshal Friedrich Karl Don, participant of liberating war against Napoleonic invasion. The building is also a monument of World War II.
