Description
Pont du Gard - the highest-preserved ancient Roman aqueduct. Thrown over the Gardon River in the French department of Gard. The length of 275 meters and height of 47 meters. UNESCO World Heritage Site (1985). Construction was carried out in the middle of the I century AD. It was built without the use of lime and forms an integral part of the 50-kilometer water pipeline
