Tourists explore the Temple of Garni overlooking Garni Gorge. Reconstructed between 1969 and 1975, the temple is the only Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia and the former Soviet Union, and is thought to have been built in the 1st century AD by king Tiridates I as a temple to the sun god Mihr.
