Description
Kanak Bhavan or the palace of gold is another place of religious importance. The palace was said to have been gifted by queen Kekayi to Sitaji on her marriage to Lord Rama. Lord Krishna, it is said, stayed at Kanak Bhavan after assassinating Jarasandh. As per a temple inscription, this bhavan was said to first been restored by Kusha in dwapar age and later by King Rishav in the middle of dwapar (aeon of age as per Hindu calendar).
