Nicaragua, San Andres village, on the border river Coco, Coco Rio in Spanish, between Nicaragua and Honduras is the home to Miskito Indians. The villages are situated on the upper parts of the river in the mountains. The homes, villages, for these people, are only to reach by boat, dugout canoe. These natives live on the Nicaraguan side of the river course. The washing of clothes is the work of women, girls and teenagers on the waterfront of the river. The joint washing clothes is a womens issue, Across the river, there is the jungle of Honduras.
